PADI Rescue Diver SCUBA Certification
Prerequisites:
- PADI Advanced Open Water Certification (or equivalent)
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Be at least 15 years of age (12 for PADI Junior Rescue
Diver)
Class includes:
- 2 Lecture sessions
- 1 Pool session
- 2 Open Water sessions

Students Must Provide:
- All Appropriate SCUBA Equipment
- PADI Rescue Diver Crew Pak
- PADI Rescue Diver DVD (may be rented)
- Log Book
- 2 Passport size photos (for Certification Card)
- Deposit on equipment used on ocean dives
Cost:
- $250 Student Fee (All Instruction)
- $30 PADI Certification Fee
Student Fee Includes:
- All Class Instruction (Additional
fee of $50.00/hour for missed sessions and each missed ocean dive.)
- Half Price on Rentals
Class Schedule:
- Classes start throughout the year, and
consist of evening lectures for two weeks, then one pool and two open
water sessions over the subsequent three weekends; four weeks overall.
- Monday & Wednesday evenings (pool & dives on Saturday)
- Tuesday & Thursday evenings (pool & dives on Sunday)
Academics:
- Four modules over three lecture sessions,
covering
- Prevention
- First Aid
- Management
- Equipment
- Assists & Rescues
Open Water Skills:
- One pool session, and
- Two open water sessions, covering
- Tired diver
- Panicked diver
- Response front shore or boat
- Distressed diver underwater
- Missing diver
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- Unconscious diver at the surface
- Egress with the unconscious diver
- First aid for a presumed accident
- Response from shore or boat for unconscious diver
- Accident scenario #1
- Accident scenario #2
Class fee is non-refundable unless cancelled within
three days of booking, but it may be transferred
to another date if more
than 7 days notice prior to start of class has been given.
