You are invited to the 2006 Santa Cruz Kayak Surf Festival (SCKSF)-the Greatest Show in the Surf Kayaking World. This year’s event will have some exciting changes that grew out of the 2005 World Championships in Costa Rica. There is a new HP Expert Class that is restricted to surf vehicles under 9 feet. We call this class World Cup in that it will add points to qualify you for the US West Team for the 2007 World Championships in Spain. The SCKSF is also one of the 5 events in the new 2006 World Cup Invitational, an event designed to choose the supreme international HP athlete. The finals for this event will be in Thurso, Scotland. With manufacturers, Rodeo Champions, and a host of the best kayak surfers on the planet, there should be plenty of stoke to go around. We owe this all to one of the best breaks on earth-Steamer Lane.

Schedule
The schedule of events is available.
Competition starts Friday at 7am, and ends Sunday 4pm with the
awards ceremony. Spectators and competitors are invited to participate
in the Silent Auction, Chez Ginny Food Booth, and our sponsor's booths.

It is the largest kayak surf contest in the world and attracts some
of the best paddle powered wave magicians on the planet. The main reason

Steamer Lane Middle Peak, is one of the best big breaks anywhere and is a
wonderful wave to test your skills… whether you’re an expert or a novice.
