Volunteers are now being recruited to help with the 20th Annual Santa Cruz Kayak Surf Festival.
There are many volunteer opportunities to choose from: helping judges
as a scribe; help in Chez Ginnez - our fabulous SCKSF eatery; help with
activities at the Thursday night and Saturday night parties; help with
the silent auction; be a parking lot attendant on Saturday and/or Sunday...the list goes
on and on!
Come to the volunteer party on 4:00pm Sunday, February 12 at Adventure Sports and sign up for your choice of days/times/activity.

Thursday Night Party
There are a number of ways to help out on Thursday night at pre-contest
party at Adventure Sports. Help is needed with boat registration;
folding/handing out t-shirts; party logistics; event clean-up; etc.

Silient Auction
The silent auction booth is full of items from our many sponsors and local donors. Help is needed to set up the booth on Friday midday - help create "the look" of the Silent Auction booth! Help staff the booth on Saturday and/or Sunday; help sell items during the walk-away bid times; help with the final, exciting close of the silent auction booth on Sunday. A great opportunity to meet and talk to people!

A-Site Scribe
Ever wanted to sit on the judging stand and listen to how the contestants are judged? Are you good at writing down numbers? Then this may be the job for you. A scribe is paired with a judge and is responsible for jotting down the score the judge gives to each contestant per heat. Openings for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

B-Site *Runner*
The *runner* does a little bit of
everything: communicates between the B-site and the tabulator at the
main site on behalf of the B-site master judge; runs the score sheets
during heats to the tabulator site; brings food to the judges, etc.
This is a fun job for someone who likes to move around! Runners are
needed on Saturday and Sunday.

Food
Help out in Chez Ginnez--the official food booth of the Santa Cruz Kayak Surf Festival. Interested in serving our contestants and spectators by making breakfast burritos? coffee? flipping burgers for lunch? .. then this is the place for you! There are many positions and shifts to choose from on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Parking
This is your opportunity to say who gets to park and where. Actually, the parking attendant has a list of who can park in our SCKSF lot and you assist with letting designated cars in and out of the lot. Attendants are needed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
