Expert Categories

International - High Performance Expert - Production Plastic - Masters
Registration closes March 1st

Note to All Participants

Due to the popularity of surfing in the area of Santa Cruz, practice and warm-up for the contest at Steamer's Lane will create additional pressure on a normally over-crowded situation. In order to maintain a good relationship with the surfing community, use of the Santa Cruz area beaches for practice before, during and after the contest is not recommended.

Check In - Thursday March 15th

Check in and boat inspections for all expert categories will be at Adventure Sports Unlimited (ASU) from 5 - 7pm on Thursday March 15th - no check in at the beach on Friday March 16th.

Competition Details

All contestants will surf the first two days. Finals will be on day three. Heats will have a maximum of four contestants per heat. Placement in the finals will be determined by the contestant's place in the heats on days one and two. Ties will be broken by best place, then by score. The finals will be single elimination. First and second place contestants in semi-finals will move on. Categories will be broken into men's, women's, and junior's if the number of men and women contestants can be made into two full heats.
First heat Friday March 15th, at 7:00 am.
