The 23rd Annual Santa Cruz Kayak Surf Festival (SCKSF) is scheduled to perform its majesty on March 20th-22nd, 2009 in Santa Cruz, California. It will attract the best kayak surfers in new surf vehicles designed specifically for this event from all over the globe. This event is touted to be the largest and most celebrated contest running in the world. This is where this new and exciting environmental sport showcases its designs and athletic prowess. World-renowned Steamer Lane point break in Santa Cruz will be the competition zone for all events during the March 20th-22nd, festival weekend. The cliff top park along West Cliff Drive overlooking Steamer Lane will provide front row viewing for photographers and thousands of spectators, as well as contest judges. Manufacturers will have display booths to provide contestants and spectators opportunities to see and touch the hottest new kayaks and gear from a variety of manufacturers. Food booths and a sound system with great music and play-by-play contest coverage will keep the festivities moving. The festival will continue during nightly town parties featuring food and drink and videos of surf kayaking highlights.
