Beginner
Our Beginner swimmers start out with an introduction to
the water by doing what makes them feel comfortable. We make it
fun with lots of pool toys and positive encouragement. Our goal
is to have them eventually going under the water and enjoying it.
Prerequisites: Child won't submerge head underwater.

Beginning +
Our Beginning + level is for our swimmers who aren't afraid
to get wet, but need to start learning some skills. In this class
we teach them gliding, kicking, getting rings off the bottom, floating
on their backs and big arms. Our goal is to have them kicking and
using big arms about 3 feet through the water.
Prerequisites: Child should be able to submerge in water on
their own.

Beginning Breather
Beginning Breather is for our swimmers who keep getting
farther and farther away from the wall, but don't know what to
do when they need air. In this class we work on big arms and kicks
and we teach them how to roll onto their backs to get some air.
Our goal is to have them swimming big arms out into the pool and
roll to get air.
Prerequisites: Child should be able to kick, float on their
backs (assisted) and do big arms.

the skill of rolling on their back. We mainly emphasize the big
arms with rolls, but we also start teaching butterfly and backstroke.
Our goal is to have them swimming across the pool unassisted.

a sea otter roll.

like fish.
